Description
This is an OSHA-compliant, I-CAB recognized safety training course intended for employees, supervisors, and subcontractors who occasionally clean up hazardous chemicals. Topics covered in this training include regulations and overview, site characterization, hazard recognition, training, confined spaces, testing, toxicology, site monitoring, illumination, sanitation, and new technology, material handling, excavation, lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment, decontamination, medical surveillance, and emergency procedures. This course meets the classroom requirement for occupational safety training. It also includes a proficiency checklist that employers can use to perform a practical evaluation. Upon completion, trainees will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card to show that they have completed HAZWOPER 24 Hour OSHA Training.

NOTE: Only an employer can designate an employee as certified. Certification requirements can vary by state or province. Check local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.
